Maine Sustainable Agriculture Society
Thank you for visiting!

The MESAS website offers resources to learn about sustainable agriculture in Maine. We hope you enjoy exploring our site, and we hope you will contact us if you'd like to learn more.

MISSION

The Maine Sustainable Agriculture Society's mission is to explore, develop and promote agricultural systems and practices that allow Maine farmers to retain a greater share of consumer expenditures for farm products. This will be accomplished by developing methods to reduce the need for purchased inputs and by adding value to farm production.

Maine Ag Trades Show 2012

This January, for our annual education program at the Trades Show in Augusta, we featured farmer and processor / distributor panels on the topic of "How Do We Grow From Here?" as well as a brief presentation on specialty crop grants. Click below for more information about the program.

And special thanks to Congresswoman Chellie Pingree and her dedicated staff for joining us to provide updates on federal agricultural programs and policies!
